Sample Page File
The TNTEdit sample page file utility helps the editor build a sample page file containing examples of design and typesetting elements (style tags) that appear in a project. This file is saved with the name "99_Samples.doc". The sample page file can be given to a designer for formatting and passed along to a compositor for preparation of typeset samples.
Select the text you want to use as a sample. For paragraph styles, make sure to select the entire paragraph, including the paragraph mark.
Click the Sample Page File icon on the toolbar . If you do not have an existing sample page file, a new one will be created. If you have already begun building a sample page file, that file will open.
The selected text is copied to the sample page file with a placeholder indicating the source file location of the text.
Placeholders can be removed by using the Delete All Placeholders utility, or they can be left in the file to indicate the location of material.
Note: When text is copied to the sample page file, tracked editing changes are accepted and AQs and ENs are deleted. The text in the source file is not affected.
