Preparing Files for Typesetting
If you are sending a completed project to a typesetter there are few things you should do to insure that the typesetter receives clean files.
Make a backup copy of your project files.
Make sure that Show Tracked Changes is checked in the View Options.
Right click on a tracked change and select Accept or Reject Tracked Changes.
Click Accept All; Word asks if you want to accept all changes without reviewing them.
Click Yes.
Open the Author Queries dialog and select Delete All Author Queries.
Click OK.
Open the Editor's Note dialog and select Delete All Editor's Notes.
Click OK.
Check for any non-TNTEdit fonts by running Check for Fonts.
If there are endnotes in the file all endnotes should be placed in a separate endnotes file.
If the files contain footnotes, all footnotes should be placed in separate footnotes files.
You are now ready to run TNTCompPrep to begin the process of creating final compositor files. With the optional TNTComp and TNTBoundGalleys utilities you can create compositor files and bound galleys yourself.
